With the celebration of Vigo 2024, the second edition of our Olympic Games, on 27 September.
As part of our commitment to promoting sport and healthy lifestyles in general, at Balidea we are taking part in the European Week of Sport (from 23 to 30 September) in a big way, with the celebration of 'Vigo 2024', the second edition of our private Olympics, next Friday 27 September.
An initiative of the European Commission and the CSD
The European Week of Sport (EWS) is a European Commission initiative that aims to involve all levels of society in carrying out one or more actions to promote a healthy lifestyle through physical and sporting activity and good nutrition. With this aim in mind, the #BeActive campaign was launched, coordinated in Spain by the Consejo Superior de Deportes (CSD).
In Balidea we are joining the campaign with the celebration of Vigo 2024, a day of sport and leisure in which the people of Balidea will take part in various activities. The platform provided by the CSD has a map of activities where you can consult information about this initiative, as well as the rest of the activities carried out within the framework of the EWS.
Vigo 2024, the second edition of our Olympic Games
After last year's celebration of the first edition of our Olympics, Cangas 2023, in this 2024 edition, next Friday 27 September, the people of Balidea will gather around Samil beach in Vigo to participate in basketball, football, paddle tennis and beach volleyball tournaments. In addition to these activities, there will be a walk around the beach and a classic video game tournament organised by the Museo do Videoxogo, of which Balidea is a collaborator and patron.
